The Entheos Foundation is a funding base for clinical research utilizing psychedelic substances such as Psilocybin, LSD and MDMA to treat various psychological conditions such as depression, general anxiety, PTSD, addiction syndromes and existential anxiety in palliative patients. Secondarily, the Foundation is a resource for accurate information around psychedelics, their history, their medical application and harm-reduction information.
We raise funds philanthropically and through crowd-funding toward research protocols related to this work. We hope to hold regular speaking events around the country at Universities and community venues to present accurate, up-to-date information on psychedelics including current and past research, anthropological considerations and harm reduction resources. We will do this in a balanced way acknowledging the short-falls, risks and biases involved as well as the potential benefits and positive outcomes currently seen in research and anecdote.
We will assist in making clear the potential risk and benefits of existing psychedelic treatments such as Ibogaine and Ketamine, educating the public and professionals on their use and assisting patients to access these treatments when they are more widely available. We will also ensure the public and professionals are able to learn about the current clinical work with other psychedelics such as Psilocybin and MDMA and the promise these agents hold in psychotherapy.
Our ultimate vision is to open a psychedelic research centre either independently or embedded in an existing institution to continue research efforts establishing the efficacy of Psychedelics in medicine. This would lend itself to a potential clinical application providing legal psychedelic therapy to those for whom it would be beneficial when the time comes.
